2023 Idaho Suzuki Association Scholarships

The Idaho Suzuki Institute is pleased to offer a high quality music Institute to benefit students studying the Suzuki Method of instruction.  The Idaho Suzuki Association is committed to providing excellent teacher trainers and excellent teachers for students at all levels.  The following are scholarships intended to benefit students who wish to further their music education, have participated in ISA events, desire to increase abilities, and could  benefit from financial assistance.  
For 2023 only scholarships for teachers pursuing teacher training will be offered.
NO STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE OFFERED.
For 2023 Applicants: 

  • Submit your application online via Google Docs by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
  • Your teacher must be a member of ISA or their local Suzuki Association.
  • Family/Student must be a member of ISA 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 15, 2023.  

Scholarship recipients will be notified of awards by April 25.  Scholarship recipients must register for institute and pay in full by May 5.

  • The Susan Bauman Memorial Scholarship for Students Violin Book 4+  
This scholarship is intended to help supplement tuition payment for Book 4 +  Violin students that wish to attend the Idaho Suzuki Institute.  A recording of a polished piece, Book 4 and above, is required to apply for the Susan  Bauman Memorial Scholarship.  Scholarship amount varies as to available funds.
  • The Susan Bauman Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Training
This scholarship is intended to help supplement tuition payment for Teacher Trainees that wish to attend the Idaho Suzuki Institute.  Scholarship amount varies as to available funds.
  • The Margaret Poling  Memorial Scholarship for Piano
Margaret  Poling was a wonderful Suzuki Piano teacher.  In her memory the scholarship fund will award $100 to a piano student attending the Idaho Suzuki Institute.  
  • The Gay Pool Scholarship for Piano
Gay  Pool is a master teacher and accomplished pianist who has inspired students for many years.  Two $200 scholarships will be awarded to piano students.  Preference will be given to students who will not be able to attend the Idaho Suzuki Institute without financial assistance.  
  • The June Itami Memorial Scholarship
June Itami founded the Idaho Suzuki Institute in 1972 and began the tradition of annual music camps in the Treasure Valley.  In her memory, donations made in her honor will be used to provide scholarships for any student  (string or piano)  wishing to attend the Idaho Suzuki Institute.  Scholarship  amount varies as to available funds.
  • ISA Scholarship          
The Idaho Suzuki Association will provide $100 scholarships based on money available from donations and other fundraisers.   The funds will be dispersed with the intention of helping cover a portion of tuition to the Idaho Suzuki Institute for as many string or piano  students as possible.
  • ISA First Timer Scholarship 
The Idaho Suzuki Association is offering $100 scholarships to students who are attending the Institute for the first time, both half-day and full day.  Open to string or piano students.
